George Saville has found his own way to promotion push with Millwall

Wolves look destined 🍷to play in the Pr🔯emier League next season.

Backed by ဣfunding from Fosun International and a link with Portuguese agent Jorge Mendes plenty of top talent has found its way to Mo👍lineux, helping Nuno Espirito Santo guide Wolves to the top of the Championship.

But the arrival of a litany of new faces saw many players cast aside by Wolves. One such player who was essentially made reꦬdundant by the new influx of p🦋layers was George Saville.

Th༺e Northern Ireland international joined Wolves from Chelsea in 2014. The midf🔯ielder showed plenty of promise on loan at Brentford the season before, convincing Wolves to snap him up permanently.

Despite having his best year yet in a Wolves shirt last season, featuring 29 ꩵtimes in all competitions, Saville decided to leave the club with competition fierce in central midfi🌳eld.

Wolves’ loss has since been ꦗMillwall’s gain. The 24-year-old had spent two previous loan spells on loan at The Den so it was no surprise to see him make a permanent switch to the London side.

Newly promoted to the Championship, Saville was siꦓgned to help Neil Harris’ side 🐽stave off relegation.

However, Millwall’s campaig🍌n has taken many by surprise.

They have played their way int🌺o play-off contention with a fantastic run of form since the turn of the 😼year and are now just two places and one point off the play-off spots in the Championship.

Saville has been key to their succꦗess. The midfielder has pl𓄧ayed 40 times in the Championship this season and scored 10 goals, cementing his place as one of the key midfield operators in the league this season.

Wolves are going up. It would take something very dramatic to stop them doing so. Millwall ꦏhowever, should not be discounted. If they do, then cre෴dit will be due to Saville for finding his own route to the Premier League away from his former club.
