Gary Neville shares which Premier League struggler can get out of relegation trouble this season
The Premier League season is now at the halfway point and it’s clear to see that battles are taking place all over the table.
With regards to the Premier League relegation battle, the three teams that were promoted from the Champi𒐪onship last 🃏season are all in the bottom three.
Southampton are rooted to the bottom of the table on just six points, while Leicester City are 19th on 14 points and Ipswich Town are 18th on 15 points.
Now, Gary Neville has given his verdict when asked which of the🌸 newly-promoted clubs he thinks can get out of rele൲gation trouble this season.
Gary Neville thinks Leicester are better-placed than Ipswich and Southampton to avoid relegation
Neville and Jamie Carragher provided u♊pdates on their pre-season predictions, with both backing Southampton, Leicester and Ipswich to go back down.
Neville was asked which of the newly-promoted sides he thinks has the best c𒐪hance of escaping the drop.
“Betwee🥂n Ipswich and Leicester obviously,” Neville began. “I’m just trying to think…
“Massive win for Ipswich against Chelsea tonight (Monday night) and something like that started to happen and the a𒉰tmosphere down there that could become quite special.
“I was at Leicester yesterday (Sunday), I actually thought they played quite well against Manchester City and had moments in the game, so I’d like them both to stay up, but they obvi🃏ously won’t.
“I’ll go Leicester,🦹 just a bit more sort of experience of the league… I’ll go Leicester if there’s one team going to get out of it.”
Who else is in Premier League relegation battle
Wolverhampton Wanderers and Everton are directly above the newly promoted trio on 16 and 17 points respectively, while Crystal Palace are 15th on 20 points.
Manchester United are currently 14th🅺 in the standings on 22 points, wౠith Ruben Amorim admitting his charges have a relegation battle on their hands.
West Ham United, Brentford and Tottenham Hotspur are not out of the woods yet either, 🙈with t🅺he Hammers on 23 points and the Bees and Spurs on 24 points.
Southampton are next in Premier Leag🔥ue action on Saturday 4 January when they host Brentford in a 3pm G😼MT kick-off.
Leicester take on Aston Villa in Birmingham on the same day,🅠 while Ipswich head to Fulham on Sunday 5 January in a fixtured scheduled to kick off at 2pm GMT.
