Gary Neville raves about ‘exciting’ talent who left Arsenal this summer
Arsenal are expected to be busy in the transfer market over the coming weeks as Edu looks to bring in more quality.
The Gunners have made one senior signing so far this summer, bringing Riccardo Calafiori to the Emirates Stadium from Bologna.
Arsenal have also moved a number of players on, with one having been sold and several having left on free transfers or initial loans.
Emile Smith Rowe is the Gunners’ sole sale so far, having swapped north London for Fulham at the start of August.
The Hale End graduate secured a move to Craven Cottage in a deal reportedly worth £34million.
Gary Neville, previewing the upcoming Premier League season, has given his verdict on Smith Rowe’s switch from Arsenal to Fulham.

Gary Neville a big fan of Arsenal academy graduate Emile Smith Rowe
Neville, speaking on (16/8/2024, 6:22pm), admitted he loves Smith Rowe as a player, praising the energy he brought to the Arsenal team when he was promoted.
“I love him as a player,” he said. “I loved him at Arsenal when he came in a couple or so years ago and he had that breath of fresh air and energy about him.
“They have lost Palhinha who was obviously, I think, their most important player for them. Very different signing obviously, but an exciting one.”
Arsenal ‘exemplary’ in Emile Smith Rowe transfer
When Smith Rowe made his breakthrough at Arsenal, a fair few were confident he’d be the next Hale End success story at N5.
However, the 23-year-old has sadly struggled with injuries in recent years, which seriously hampered his progress and restricted his game time at Arsenal.
Luckily, the Gunners haven’t messed him around. Rather than freezing him out and trying to offload him to a club outside the Premier League, they green-lit his move to Fulham.
Smith Rowe will now get the opportunity to kickstart his career in the English top flight and hasn’t even needed to move from the city in which he plays.
Arsenal have been ‘exemplary’ in how they have handled Smith Rowe’s transfer, according to talkSPORT’s Dean Ambrose.
