Galatasaray boss Okan Buruk considering move for Wolves midfielder Mario Lemina

TBR Football chief correspondent Graeme Bailey understands that Galatasaray manager Okan Buruk is considering moving for Lemina this month.

Wolves and Lemina are ready to part ways, with Pereira confirming after their loss to Newcastle United on Wednesday that he was ready to bid farewell to the midfielder.

“I can’t bring a player who tells me he is not in the mental condition to help the team,” he said.

“He wants to leave. I don’t know what happened before me, but with this energy and this mentality, I don’t need him.

“I prefer to play with another player. I don’t have anything against Lemina or any issues with him.”

The Saudi Pro League have expressed an interest in the former Juventus midfielder with Al-Shabab leading the chase.

Meanwhile, Galatasaray are happy with their squad as things stand, and they’re pleased with how Lucas Torreira and Gabriel Sara are playing.

Nevertheless, we understand that Buruk is considering a move for Lemina in order to create competition among his midfielders.

In addition, TBR Football understands that a move back to Istanbul could be Lemina’s preferred destination.

Lemina, who cost Wolves around £10million, previously spent a 12-month loan with Galatasaray in 2019.

He remains a well-loved figure among the club’s fans.

The January transfer window has already seen Wolves make one signing, with defender Emmanuel Agbadou joining from French side Reims.

Wolves are also said to be in pursuit of Chelsea defender Renato Veiga, who can also play in midfield.

He is said to be frustrated by the lack of minutes he’s been getting at Stamford Bridge.

Another player Wolves have been linked with is Lens defender Kevin Danso, who has English football experience thanks to a loan spell at Southampton.
