Gabriel Martinelli says Arsenal staff are convinced 17-year-old youngster has a big future

Gabriel Martinelli has now confessed that Arsenal staff are convinced that one youngster in particular will have a huge future. 

Right now, the Hale End academy’s link to the first team under Mikel Arteta has somewhat diminished.

🀅Arsenal’s senior side have been progressing extremely quickly and it simply hasn’t been an environment conducive to bringing through youngsters, such has been the pressure on the first team players.

However, in the years to come it seems that Arsenal will have one or two youngsters who simply can’t be ignored, players who hope to follow in Bukayo Saka’s footsteps.

Namely, those players are Ethan Nwaneri and Myles Lewis-Skelly💙 – two of the most exciting young talents at Arsenal in the last decade.

Amario Cozier-Duberry was once held in a similar breath, but it now seems as if the young winger will leave Arsenal.

All that being said, Martinelli💛 has now been discussing Nwaneri’s potential whilst away with Brazil.

꧅Speaking in an interview with before the start of Copa America, Martinelli was asked about his relationship with young players at Arsenal.

Furthermore, the Brazilian was then asked to pick which youngster will be ‘most important’ in the future, when the interviewer also mentioned Chido Obi-Martin’s name.

𝓀And after explaining the relationship between the club and its young players, Martinelli then confessed that Arsenal staff hold Nwaneri in the highest regard.

⛦Martinelli said: “At the club they are very happy with the evolution of the young people who come up from the academy. We try to give them all the help we can to make them comfortable.

🍃“Everyone knows how difficult it is to get into the first team, to be a professional. They have to take advantage of the opportunity, but also be calm.

ღ“Ethan is a very quality boy. The club has a lot of faith in him and hopes that he will be the one who can help us the most in the future.”

Arteta could hand Nwaneri a first team role next season

൩Of course, Nwaneri is expected to have a senior role next season in some capacity.

🅰Pre-season will probably be definitive in that regard, when Arteta will likely decide whether Nwaneri will stay with Arsenal’s senior side or head out on loan.

Jack Wilshere🦄 spent half a season on loan at Bolton Wanderers at a similar stage of his career in 2010 which was extremely beneficial.

It’s been a while since Arsenal𒈔 had a youngster out loan with a genuine plan to reintegrate into the first team – which would be an interesting dynamic for fans to follow.

🔥Both Charlie Patino and Brookes Norton-Cuffy have enjoyed Championship loans in the last few years, but both look destined to spend their permanent futures outside of north London.

All that being said, ꦐGabriel Martinelli has also just shared his honest thoughts on Arsenal buying a striker this summer
