Gabriel Agbonlahor says £25m player is far too weak for Arsenal

Whilst the final few days of the transfer window could be pretty manic at Arsenal, their start on the pitch this season has been very calm and collected.

Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal꧋ side survived a brief second half storm against Aston Villa to win impressively on the weekend, making it six points from two.

💜Leandro Trossard was Arsenal’s match-winner, a performance that should earn the winger a start against his old side Brighton & Hove Albion on Saturday.

✃Of course, it will be now interesting to see how many new Arsenal teammates Trossard has by that point, when the window will have closed.

Mikel Merino should be available to face Brightonꦗ, the next signing in the pipeline for the Gunners.

🌃But perhaps beyond that point, Arsenal may even recruit two more players.

Arsenal are pushing to sign Joan Garcia🌟 – a deal that hinges on Aaron Ramsdale finding a new club before the deadline.

And perhaps the Gunners could also add a new forward, but again, that will depend on the likes of Eddie Nketiah departing.

Gabriel Agbonlahor thinks it’s the right time for Arsenal to sell Eddie Nketiah

ౠNketiah is close to leaving Arsenal for Crystal Palace𓂃 – a deal that gathered pace very quickly after a move to Nottingham Forest fell down.

🌟In total, 25-year-old Nketiah has scored 38 goals for Arsenal in 168 games, statistics that are affected by the striker often being used as a substitute.

However, when speaking on on Tuesday morning, Gabriel Agbonlahor🌊 was confident that it was the right time for Nketiah to leave Arsenal.

🅷Agbonlahor said Nketiah wasn’t strong or quick enough for Arteta’s football, saying he wasn’t at Arsenal’s level.

༒He said: “I don’t think he is at the level where Arsenal are going.

ܫ“I look at him and I see a striker who has got an eye for goal, but the other part of the game, holding the ball up, I don’t think he is strong enough, running in behind, I don’t think he is quick enough.

🐠“I don’t think he is physical enough. I don’t think he is at Arsenal’s level. Crystal Palace – I think that’s the right level.”

Whilst some Arsenal fans may disagree with elements of those sentiments, it’s hard to conclude that selling Nketiah for £25m isn’t a good move for the club right now.

ꩲArteta still wants to sign another attacker, and Nketiah’s career is stalling in north London.
