‘From what I understand’: Phil Hay delivers more information on injured Leeds trio

The delight of a last-minute equaliser against Brentford has since left a sour taste in the mouth, after Liam Cooper, Patrick Bamford and Kalvin ꦬPhi🌸llips all picked up hamstring injuries.

Bamford made his return after missing 10 consecutive Premier League matches, and sc✨ored a late goal to draw 2-2 with Thomas Frank’s side. But Leeds have since felt the impact of the clash🍰.

Bamford, Phillips and Cooper were all ruled out for Saturday’s clash against Bamford’s old side Chelsea🐼. The trio have picked up hamstring injuries, but there 🐽was no update on the length of the injuries.

But Athletic reporter Hay has given an update on B🉐amford, Phillips and Cooper. He states, that from what he has heard from his sources, that Bamford’s is not as bad as Cooper and Phillips.

“From what I understand, Bamford’s is the least severe of the three. I don’t⭕ think either Cooper or Phillips’ is great, they will be fairly lengthy stretches. Bielsa said it is the tendons, than the muscle fibres – which is problematic.”

Hay on Bamford, Cooper and Phillips: Leeds star get Christmas boost

From what it sounds like, Cooper and Ph𒈔illips might be looking at a longer spell on the sidelines – given that Hay says it is to do with the connective tissue, not the bog-standard muscle fibre.

If you were to pick one of🦹 the three to return sooner than the others, you would probably pick Bamford. Phillips is arguably Leeds’ best player, but at least the Whites have some cover in midfield.

Adam Forshaw, Pascal Struijk, Mateusz Klich, Stuart Dallas ⛄and others. But up top, Tyler Roberts has been poor🍷 apart from his goal against Brentford and Rodrigo is better as a 10.
