Free agents Arsenal can still sign after Mikel Arteta missed out on a deadline day striker
Arsenal did not manage to sign a new striker on deadline day.
Despite Mikel Arteta publicly admitting Arsenal would explore the market for a striker after Gabriel Jesus suffꦰered a serious knee injury, no 🅷suitable option was found to replace the Brazilian.
It means the Gunners embark on the business end of the campaign with Kai Havertz as their only recognised striker – even the Germany international initially played as a No.8 in midfield following his arrival from Chel꧋sea in June 2023.
However – despite the transfer window now being closed – Arsenal can still sign free🌱 agents, so let’s take a look at some s🐼trikers who are currently available.
Three unemployed strikers Arsenal can still sign outside of the transfer window
Maxi Gomez
Maxi Gomez is currently available to sign at any moment.

Arsenal considered signing Gomez back in 2020 – according to the Daily Mail – when 🅘the Uruguay internatꦇional was in fine form at Valencia.
The South American boasts an impressive record in ꧂La Liga – scoring 52 goals and providing 20 assists in 198 appearances – but is yet to find a new club after his contract with Trabzonspor expired last summer.
Lucas Perez
A familiar face is available on a free transfer in Lucas Perez.

The Spaniard made 21 appearances for Arsenal between 2016 and 2018 – scoring seven goals and providing five assists – bu❀t recently became a free agent at the end of January after requesting to terminate his contract with Deportivo La Coruna for personal reasons.
Perez struggled to assert himself at Arsenal – but did show his quality on several occasions.
Diego Costa
Diego Costa is a man Premier League fans know all about.
A Costa special! 💥💪

Costa did actually spend some time back in the Pr🌃emier League with Wolves in the💃 2022/23 season, scoring just once in 25 appearances.
