Former Chelsea boss not ready for Premier League return as Steve Cooper sacking details emerge

TBR Football understands that Graham Potter is not ready to return to management with Leicester City.

Leicester City parted company with Steve Cooper at the weekend following their latest defeat at the hands of Chelsea and their former boss Enzo Maresca.

Potter, who was of interest to Leicester in the summer before they went with Cooper, was again on Leicester’s radar as TBR Football revealed.

However, TBR Football understands Potter is not ready to take step ওin and replace Cooper at tꦫhe King Power.

We are told by sources with knowledge of the situation that Leicester were keen🍃 to talk to Potter, but they were informed that🍷 he was unlikely to take the role at this stage

Leicester for their part insist that nobody has been lined up🏅 to take Cooper’s role, who were are told was genuinely ‘shocked’ by the club’s decision to axe him📖.

Foxes unhappy with Steve Cooper’s style of play and comments

Since Cooper’s exit, sources have confirmed to TBR Football that Leicester had real concerns about the style of play being deployed, as well as the relationship between him and the squad – which is understood to hav♔e been far from good.

Also, whilst not playing a part in his sacking, we are told that the club’s top brass were far from happy with Cooper’s comments aboutღ Andy Madley following their 2-1 loss to Chelsea.

Cooper was hugely critical of th♕e officials following the game, which also saw him booked during the match and he singled out🍃 Madley for criticism.

“We’ve had a lot of bad luck with this referee this year. It🌞’s our third or fourth game with him and it’s not beeౠn the best of times. It continued today,” Cooper .

“I don’t know if he lost concentration or composure but it’s not what the referees needed in the first game live on T﷽V [after the international break].

“It’s a pity✅. It’s going to be all the talking points. I’m disappointed it’s us on💜 the wrong end of it.”
