‘Fabulous’… BBC man blown away with what ‘brilliant’ £1m Celtic player did vs St Mirren

Celtic’s win over St Mirren in the Scottish Cup this afternoon was a very good result, and performance, from Brendan Rodgers’ side.

The Buddies are flying high in the Scottish Premiership and with Rodgers’ Bhoys struggling for form recently, the Celtic fans would be forgiven for travel🌜ling to Paisley with a sense of trepida🐠tion.

This fixture had a real banana skin feeling attached to it and if it wasn’t for what Joe Hart did in the first half against Stephen Robinson’s men, it♈ could have been a very nervy afternoon for the Parkhead side.

When Celtic were 1-0 up and looking comfortable, the £1m signing from Tottenham produced a piece of magic fro🐟m an Alex Gogic overhead kick that left BBC commentator, Alasdair Lamont, completely blown away.

Lamont said꧅ during live commentary [], “Brilliant save from Hart. What an effort from Alex Gogic! The 🍸overhead kick was spectacular!

“But Joe Hart was equal to it.

“Fab🧸ulous effort! Fabulou🅺s save! What a bit of action that was!”

Hart pro🔯duced a couple of important saves for Celtic against St Mirren wh🌃ich kept the game from descending into the kind of panic play the Hoops fans have seen too often this season when they see their side concede.

Despite some early season high-profile mistakes, the 36-year-old conti꧟nues to show ﷺhis importance to the team when he is called upon.

For Celtic, the quarter-final of the Scottish Cup now awaits Brendan Rodgers’༺ side and the Celtic boss will find out who he is to face when the dཧraw is made this afternoon from 4.30pm.

But for Hart, questions remain on where his future lies after the summer🅘. The veteran goalkeeper’s contra☂ct expires at the end of the season and it doesn’t seem as though a new deal is in the offing.

Based on Hart’s ability to produce saves like today, maybe a new deal♊ is not too far away from being offered.
