Fabrizio Romano suggests ‘exciting’ player won’t be joining Liverpool this summer

Liverpool have been linked with a very exciting move in recent weeks, but sadly, this deal doesn’t seem likely.

Khvicha Kvaratskhelia has established himself as one of the hottest talents in Europe over the past few years, and there has been tons of speculation about his future in recent times.

Liverpool are said to be keen on the Georgian winger, but unfortunately, it doesn’t sound as though a move will be possible this summer.

Indeed, speaking on , Fabrizio Romano has poured cold water on any rumours surrounding ‘Kvaradona’, claiming that is almost impossible for the attacker to leave Napoli this summer.

Khvicha Kvaratskhelia won’t be leaving Napoli

Romano shared what he knows about the ‘exciting’ winger and his future.

“For Kvaratskhelia. The interest of PSG remains, they really appreciate the player, but the main issue is Napoli. Napoli have no intention of selling Kvaratskhelia,” Romano said.

“Antonio Conte has been super clear in press conferences, Napoli have already offered him a new contract and they feel it will be almost impossible for him to leave the club this summer. Kvaratskhelia could be a topic for next summer, maybe summer 2025,” Romano said.

Kvaratskhelia one to watch next summer

Kvaratskhelia may not be on the move in this window, but come next summer, there will be a whole host of clubs queueing up to sign him once again.

Napoli seem to sell one top star every year – Kim Min-Jae left last season, while Victor Osimhen looks likely to go this time around, and in 2025, it could be Kvaratskhelia’s turn.

Liverpool are said to be keen at the moment, and it wouldn’t be a surprise at all if that interest persisted into 2025, especially as there are serious question marks around the futures of Mohamed Salah and Luis Diaz.

Kvaratskhelia won’t be moving in the coming weeks, but he remains a player to keep an eye on.
