Fabrizio Romano shares Xavi Simons update amid Arsenal, Liverpool and Newcastle links

Arsenal, Liverpool and Newcastle United are just three of the clubs that have been linked with Xavi Simons in recent weeks.

🃏The Gunners, the Reds and the Magpies all have scope to strengthen their respective squads after all falling short of their ultimate goals last term.

Arsenal and Liverpool🌸 contested one of the most exciting Premier League title races in recent years, but Manchester City ended up triumphing again.

Meanwhile, Newcastle💎 were hoping to kick on after finishing fourth in 2022/23, but didn’t even make it into Europe last season.

Back in June, the Gunners reportedly made contact for Simons, the Magpies apparently did the same earlier this month, and the ൲Reds are said to have been keeping tabs on the Dutchman.

🐬However, it now looks like Bundesliga giants RB Leipzig and Bayern Munich are way ahead in the race to sign the Paris Saint-Germain attacker.

♑Fabrizio Romano has now provided an update on the Simons transfer saga.

RB Leipzig confident of winning Xavi Simons race ahead of Bayern Munich, Arsenal, Liverpool and Newcastle

ꦦThe transfer insider, taking to X, says Leipzig are now confident to get the green light to sign Simons ahead of the Bavarians.

ꦬPSG don’t plan to sell the 21-year-old, so it looks as though the Red Bulls are set to sign him on another loan deal, suggested Romano.

Premier League clubs must not give up Simons chase

♎Simons has enjoyed a switch rise to prominence over the years, having plied his trade at a number of illustrious clubs including Barca, PSG and Leipzig.

🙈The Bundesliga  deemed him ‘one of the most feared attackers in Germany’s top flight’ back in February, and he has certainly gone from strength to strength since then.

🐬Simons dazzled for the Netherlands at Euro 2024, scoring in the semi-finals against England and also registering two assists in the competition.

ཧHe would be an amazing addition to any club, so the Premier League sides still in pursuit of him should not give up the chase despite Leipzig and Bayern being favourites.
