Fabrizio Romano shares what he’s now heard from conversations about Raheem Sterling’s future at Chelsea
Journalist Fabrizio Romano has now shared the latest on what he’s heard in regards to Raheem Sterling’s future at Chelsea.
Sterling is having something of an indifferent season, dipping in and out of Mauricio Pochettino’s first eleven.
Every promising bit of form seems to 🧸be followed by a lull, wh𓃲ich is quite symptomatic of Chelsea’s season as a whole.
And given Sterling hasn’t quite fulfilled his rol⛄e as one of Chelsea’s key, senior players, rumours have emerged regarding his fut🀅ure.
However, when speakinꦉg on ‘’, Romano adamantly declared that Sterling hasn’t been negotiating a move away from Chelsea of late.
Fabrizio Romano says Chelsea winger Raheem Sterling isn’t negotiating Saudi move
Roman💞o explained that as of ri🔴ght now, Sterling isn’t planning to leave Chelsea at all.
He said: “Yes, there’s rumours coming from England about the intermediaries close to Raheem Sterling dealing and discussing with 🌸Al-Hilal about a potential ♔Saudi move in the summer.
“I spoke to 𒊎the intermediaries in the recent days and again the message coming from the people close to Raheem Sterling is quite clear, no conversations Al-Hilal, nothing of this is ta🐠king place.
“Raheem Sterling is one hundred percent focused on Chelsea, so at the moment there is absolutelyꩲ no negotiation with Saudi club or with any other club.
“The full focus of Raheem Sterling is on Chelsea. We will see in the summer what C༒helsea will do in terms of strategy with all their players, with the manager, so there are many things to discuss at the club.
“But between Al-Hilal ♏and Sterling at this point there is nothing.”
One to watch
Although Romano was quick to dismiss rumours of Sterling leaving Chelsea for Saudi Arabia, he did p🔯erhaps slightly leave the door for something else to happen in the summer.
And given the backlash Sterling has recently received from his own fans, it wouldn’ဣt necessarily be a surprise if something did materialise.
That being said, it has been reported that Chelsea are very keen to ♍offload two different players once the summer begins.
It’s clearly going to be a busy one at Stamford Bridge, and as R꧒omano mentioned, it’ll be interesting to see how Chelsea look to improve their business.
