Fabrizio Romano shares Victor Osimhen update that could really benefit Arsenal this summer
Arsenal have a big summer coming up on the transfer front as Mikel Arteta looks to strengthen his ranks in pursuit of glory in multiple competitions next season.
Although Arsenal are favourites to reach the Champions League semi-finals, they are all-but out of the Premier League title race now, as well as being out of both domestic cups.
With that in mind, Arteta will no doubt want more strength in depth to challenge on multiple fronts, and a new striker is high up on Arsenal’s summer wish-list.
TBR Football chief correspondent Graeme Bailey recently confirmed that Victor Osimhen is on Arsenal’s radar for this summer, along with several other big-name strikers.
Fabrizio Romano has now shared an update involving Osimhen’s camp and parent club Napoli that stands to benefit Arsenal and other suitors.

Fabrizio Romano says Napoli want Arsenal target Victor Osimhen sold ‘as soon as possible’
Romano, speaking on his YouTube channel, claimed that Osimhen is unlikely to stay put at Galatasaray, despite the Superlig club’s wishes to sign him permanently.
Romano also said Napoli aren’t planning to keep hold of Osimhen – indeed, the intention of all parties is for the £64million-clause ace to be sold “as soon as possible”, ideally by June.
“The reality is that Victor Osimhen is fully expected to leave Galatasaray to return to Napoli and leave Napoli,” said Romano.
“Osimhen is not staying at Napoli, Osimhen is most likely not staying at Galatasaray, and Osimhen is going to assess starting from the next weeks.
“So already from May he’s going to assess the potential options on the table option that could be in several countries.”
After saying the Premier League, the Saudi Pro League and Serie A are all options, Romano then spoke of Osimhen’s stance, along with that of Napoli.
“Napoli want to sell the player as soon as possible,” continued Romano. “The intention of all parties involved is not to have another saga with Osimhen till… the final days of the market.
“The intention is to sort the situation already in June, avoid any case during the whole summer, let the player settle in a new club in the best way possible.
“Napoli will make profit and they will be all happy with the situation.”
Victor Osimhen’s stance towards Premier League move
In another boost for Arsenal, TBR Football understands that the Saudi Pro League has been told that Osimhen wants to move to the Premier League this summer.
Arsenal, Aston Villa and Newcastle are all being kept updated on Osimhen’s situation, as are Manchester United and Chelsea.
Indeed, Man United have been informed that Osimhen would be willing to move to Old Trafford, even if they don’t secure Champions League football.
Likewise, the same is true with Chelsea – who are still considering whether to make a renewed bid for the player they were close to signing last summer.
