Fabrizio Romano shares transfer Leeds are working on ‘in the next days’ after Largie Ramazani

Leeds United need to get a bit of a move on if they are to fill all the gaping holes that have currently been left by outgoings at Elland Road.

Crysencio Summerville, Archie Gray, Georginio Rutter, Luis Sinisterra, Glen Kamara, Marc Roca, Charlie Cresswell and Diego Llorente have all secured permanent moves away from Leeds United.

Daniel Farke has a big job on his hands to spend the money generated wisely, with time now ticking down before the end of the window.

Largie Ramazani has already completed his move to Elland Road which will go a long way to filling the void left by Summerville, though very little else has been done.

However, Fabrizio Romano has now revealed Leeds’ next steps as they look to finish the window strongly…

Manor Solomon appears to be heading through the door at Leeds on loan from Spurs to bolster the Whites’ options out wide.

And, has stated when talking to Give Me Sport that Farke has already started work on the club’s potential next signing.

“I think, yes. This is the idea. Largie Ramazani was the number one plan for them, because they obviously wanted to get a winger as soon as possible. That was something really important to them.

“This is why the negotiations for Ramazani were quite silent, but also quite fast in terms of the club-to-club talks, and also player talks.

“But, yes, the next priority they are working on is signing a striker. Let’s see who it’s going to be but, for sure, Leeds will be busy with this in the next days.”

Do Leeds need to sign a striker?

Leeds already have the likes of Patrick Bamford, Mateo Joseph and Joel Piroe at their disposal, so to bring in another striker when Farke currently plays with a lone man up top does seem strange.

Bamford and Piroe have both looked rather ineffective in the current campaign, but it’s hard to imagine three strikers potentially being on the substitutes’ bench in any game for Leeds.

It’ll be hard to knock the youngster out of the starting lineup given the impressive start he’s had to this season, with Wilfried Gnonto praising Joseph for just how hard he’s worked to get to this stage.

A central midfielder seems like a more sensible signing to make as the Whites only have three options in that department, which is a big risk.

Although, it looks as if Philip Billing now won’t be joining Leeds as Alex Crook poured cold water on that.
