Everton will sign Carlos Alcaraz permanently if he makes plenty of starts
Romano has taken to X to say Everton are currently completing all the details of the Alcaraz🅘 deal and said it “will get don💃e tonight”.
Everton are set to pay Flamengo €15million (£11million) plus add-ons in a loan deal t🍰hat includes an obligation to buy – but only in case Alcaraz gets a “high number of starts”.
What Alcaraz could bring to Everton
Although Alcaraz is likely to be a key optꦆion for Everton’s midfield, Moyes will have a very versatile player at his disposal.
Indeed, Alcaraz has played in no fewer than nine dif🐬ferent positions in his career.
Carlos Alcaraz’s positions | Games | Goals | Assists |
Central midfield | 73 | 10 | 5 |
Attacking midfield | 17 | 3 | 1 |
Centre-forward | 10 | 2 | 2 |
Right midfield | 9 | 1 | 2 |
Defensive midfield | 9 | 1 | 0 |
Right winger | 7 | 3 | 0 |
Left winger | 5 | 1 | 1 |
Left midfield | 2 | 0 | 1 |
Right-back | 1 | 0 | 0 |
Alcaraz can play pretty much anywhere and, while the lion’s share of his appearances have come in midfield, he ♏could also feature in attack and defence.
Alan Sheꦇarer named Alcaraz in his Team of the Week after Southampton’s 3-3 draw with Arsenal in April 2023 in which he noted how good he was at both ends of ♋the pitch.
“Excellent at both ends, scoring the first and setting up the second, before a stunning goal-line 💃clearance,” he said.
With Everton still too ꦍclose to the bottom three for comfort, Alcaraz is set to be a great addition to Moyes’ ranks in their pursuit of safety.
Everton are next in action on Saturd𓂃ay 8 February, where they’ll hope to make it to the fifth round of the FA Cup when they take on Bournemouth at Goodison Park.
The Tofꦚfees ꦅare then set to face bitter rivals Liverpool in the Merseyside derby on Wednesday 12 February, 7:30pm GMT kick-off.
This is a game that had to be rescheduled due to safety concerns from adverse weather conditionꦯs caused by Storm Darr🥃agh back in December.
