Fabrizio Romano says deadline day Tottenham deal is now off again

It’s been a tumultuous transfer window for Tottenham to say the least.

Indeed, it’s been ෴a real story of deals being off, on and off again.

Tottenham were close to signing Randal Kolo Muani at one point,🍸 but the striker snubbed them for Juventu꧋s.

Alternatively, Mathys Tel had rejected Tottenham a few days ago, but now, Tel is set to sign for Tottenham on loan on deadline day.

Tottenham have also been trying to sign a centre-back on deadline 🐻day.

Spurs bid for Marc Guehi, but that deal looks off, while Tottenham were trying to sign Axel Disasi towards the end of the window.

However, according to Fabriﷺzio Romano, speaking on Market Madness, at the moment, the Disasi deal isn’t progressing.

Axel Disasi to Tottenham is off

Romano shared what he knows about Disasi a𒉰nd Spurs.

According to the journalist, this deal is currently off, b꧅ut that could change inღ the next few hours if Disasi’s stance changes.

“It depends on what the player wants to do. I think if Axel Disasi dꦡecides to call in the next few hours and say ‘Ok, I’m coming to Tottenham.’ They are still keen on making this deal happen,” Romano said.

“But at the moment that is not happening, Disasi agreed terms with Aston Villa, he wanted to join Aston Villa, Champions League football, a direct call with Unai Emery, but Chelsea are not giving players to Aston Villa꧙ on loan.”

Axel Disasi stats this season

As things stand, Disasi isn’t so keen to join Tottenham, but he may change h🔥is mind as reality sets in🐼.

T♌he Frenchman wants to join Aston Villa, but Chelsea are blocking that path.

As we tick towards the deadline, a move to Spurs may 🌸be Disasi’s only option, a🐓nd he’d be a fool not to take that chance.

Indeed, as the stats show this season, Disasi isn’t progressing at Chelsea as he’s barely getting a ga🎐me.

Disasi needs regular first-team football, and that’s something he simply isn’t going to be afforded at Sta🔯mford Bridge.

As the deadline approaches, Disasi’s stance may well change and he could find h💃imself making the trip across London to Spurs at some point before the deadli🧜ne.
