Fabrizio Romano says £55m striker Arsenal held talks with is about to move elsewhere

Arsenal have opened up their Premier League account with two wins from two.

The🍌 Gunners were 2-0 vic✱tors away at Aston Villa on the weekend with Leandro Trossard and Thomas Partey netting the goals.

Only Manchester City, Brighton 💙and Liverpool have kept their 100 per cent record intact heading into match week 🗹three.

It was a close-fought encounter at Villa Park and one that could’ve easily swung the other way had it not been for David Raya’s unbelievable double save.

Speaking post-match, Mikel A💫rteta admitted his side are a little🔥 short and could still bring in new additions before the window slams shut on Friday.

However, they l🍌ook set to miss out on a rumoured target.

Arsenal set to miss out on Victor Osimhen

Arsenal have been linked🧸 to Napoli’s Victor Osimhen for most of the su💖mmer transfer window as they ꧑look to bring in a specialist number nine.

Chelsea have also been credited with an interest in Osimhen but Al Ahli are now close to agreeing a £55m with Napoli, according to transfer 𒐪specialist Fabrizio Romano.

The Nigeria inꦇternational still needs to agree on personal terms with the Saudi Pro League side – so there is scope for an 11th-hour hijack.

TBR reported earlier this month that Osimhen prefers a move to Paris Saint-Germain, though, the Ligue 1 giants appear to haꦛve ended th𓆉eir interest.

Arsenal should match Al-Ahli’s bid for Victor Osimhen

Arsenal are crying out for a number nine this summer a🌳nd it’s perhaps the only area of the squad where they look light.

Osimhen would be a real statement signing and one that▨ could fire them to their first Premier League title since 2004.

So, they really should consider matching Al-Ahli’s £55m bid – ꦏwhich seems like a fair price for the 25-year-old.
