Fabrizio Romano has Liverpool transfer update as Arne Slot’s side set up meeting on Monday

Liverpool’s 2024/25 campaign is up and running with two wins from their opening two games in the Premier League.

Arne Slot could not have asked🔥 for much of a better start to life on Merseyside when it comes to the action on the pit🌺ch.

The Reds have now sealed back to back 2-0 wi💞ns in against Ipswich Town and Brentford with Slot’s first game at Anfield going down without a hitch.

However, it has not been as straightforward for Liverpool in the transfer market as they remain the only club in🍒 the league to have not signed a single player this summer.

There are now just a matter 🥂of days until the deadline at the end of play on Friday evening with the Reds now under pressure to tie up any loose ends.

And it seems Liverpool are now pushing on one specific deal with a fresh transfer meeting scheduled for Mondꦅay.

Liverpool have fresh transfer meeting scheduled for Monday

So far so good for the Reds on the pitch but they have certainly had their issues away from it with Martin Zubi♒mendi havin꧒g rejected a potential move to Liverpool already.

But Slot’s side are still looking to push on in the window with Liverpool making contacts over the possibility of making some la🅷te transfer deals happen.

With the clock ticking, Romano has now shared the latest details about the transfer meeꦇting which is penned in for the start of the new week.

It may be bank holiday Monday in England but those at Anfield are still working hard to get their first signing over the line with Giorgi Mamardashvili.

“It’s still a really ♏concrete possibility because Liverpool are working on it,” Romano said on his .

“There will be a new meeting on Monday, so tomorrow [Monday] could be an importꦰant day to try and close the deal for Mamardashvili. I’ve already told you there’s an agreem♔ent on the deal…”

“I can tell you, talking to sources🥃, I can feel optimism to get the deal done.”

Liverpool’s outfield options could be stretched this season

If Liverpool are able to pull off the signing of t🤪he Georgia international, it wo♔uld be a promising addition for the future.

Even Alisson Becker has approved the potential signing of Ma🌸mardashvili 𒆙at Liverpool but 🦄i꧒t is not going to improve their side for this season.

The Reds are competing in the Champions League, two domestic cup competi💦tions and the Premier League on a squad which has arguably gotten weaker over the summer.

When you consider the calibre of players now in the final year of their deal at Liverpool, the Reds could well b🌟e leaving themselves with an awful lot to do in the coming transfer windows.

But for now, Slot will be crossing everyth🍃ing that his Liverpool squad do not get heav𝔉ily hit by injuries as that could really stretch his options.
