Exclusive: Chelsea are now looking at ‘aggressive and fast’ 20-year-old Premier League defender
🅷The January window may have concluded almost two weeks ago now, but clubs are already planning for the summer ahead. It’s a summer which promises to be full of action on the market after a relatively quiet winter window.
Among the most active teams could be Chelsea💙 once again. Todd Boehly has already invested heavily into the club, and he is expected to do the same this summer.
The Boot Roomꦬ understands that one of the players on Chelsea’s radar is Bournemouth full-back Milos Kerkez. We can exclusively reveal that the club has been tracking his progress this season, and are long-term admirers of the 20-year-old.
Kerkez is extremely highly rated🧔 and is regarded as one of the best up and coming full-backs in European football. He made the final shortlist for the Golden Boy award in 2023, and was on the books at AC Milan, where he was spotted by Paolo Maldini.

Milos Kerkez described as ‘aggressive and fast’
🅘Kerkez is already a key member of the Hungarian national team. He played a key role in securing qualification to Euro 2024, starting all but one game in the qualifying process. His manager at international level, Marco Rossi, has described him as an aggressive and fast player in the past.
♑“In a good sense, Milos is a particularly aggressive and fast player, so I don’t think he’ll have any problems with the style of play typical of the Premier League. The English Premier League has a much more physical style than that of the Dutch, but this won’t cause him any problems,” Rossi said as per the .
⛎For Bournemouth this season, Kerkez has made 18 appearances in the Premier League. As per . he wins an impressive 69% of his challenges – which is the best for Bournemouth this season in the Premier League.
🍨Last season, Kerkez also registered 12 goal contributions for AZ Alkmaar – which was the most made in all competitions by an U20 defender in Europe’s top 10 leagues.
ꦍIf he was to arrive at Chelsea he would help to bolster Mauricio Pochettino’s options in the back-line. So far this season the Argentine has used the likes of Ben Chilwell and Levi Colwill at left-back.
