Everton star posts on Instagram after senior international debut, Declan Rice responds
Everton star Ben Godfrey received a wave of ✨responses last night to his post after making his senior England debut.
The Toffees defender came off the bench in Wednesday night’s 1-0 win over Austria. Three Lions manager Gareth Southgate gave him, along with Brighton’s Ben White, senior debuts at inteꦇrnational level in a friendly victory.
Godfrey hasn’t been named in England’s final 26-man squad for Euro 2020, but has been with the squad in preparat🍎ion for the major tournament this summer.🍒
The 23-year-old received a call-up following an impressivꦬe debut year at Goodison🦹 Park.
His signing has been excellent for 𒅌Merseyside giants Everton, and his reputati💦on continues to grow.
The quick centr🐟e-back is an aggressive defender with a real voice on the pitch. Additionally💛, he’s got the versatility to slot in at either full-back position if needed.
Godfrey uploaded a m𓂃essage on social media after an England debut. Declan Rice and Jude B꧙ellingham were among those to respond.
As well as that𝓀, he had plenty of replies fr💞om current and ex-club teamamtes.

Everton star Godfrey a long-term option for England
Unfortunately, this summer’s tournament has come too soon for the Everton ace. It will be a big surprise though if we don’t see h🦂im in an England shirt again in the near future.
He nearly had a debut to forget after a heavy first touch nearly resulted in a goal, b🍬ut thankfully his special day wasn’t marked by that.
The athletic defender has arguably b꧙een Ev๊erton’s most consistent performer in the 2020/21 season.
He should be right in the England mix if he carries that over into the💧 next ca♐mpaign.
