Everton now keen to sign £7.5m forward whose agent is actually the brother of David Moyes

Everton are keen to bolster the squad for David Moyes before the February 3rd transfer deadline.

Relegation is a very realistic threat for the Toffees this season – with Everton currently sat 16th in the Premier League and just a single point above the bottom three.

Only 25 goals have been conc🌼eded in 19 Premier Leag💦ue outings so far this term – just four teams have shipped fewer – although goalscoring is a real problem, with Everton netting 15 times, the least of any side.

Now – however – Everton are in the race to sign Tom Cannon to give David Moyes a new option up front.

Everton in hunt to sign Tom Cannon

Sami Mokbel of the Daily Mail has now revealed that Everton are involved in the b💮attle to sign the Republic of Ireland international – after Leicester City recalled the striker from his loan spell aꦿt Stoke City.

Cannon – who Everton actually sold to the Foxes for back in Seꦯptem🦩ber 2023 – impressed for the Potters with nine goals and one assist in 22 Championship appearances.

The 22-year-old is also wanted by Sunderland and Sheffield United after his successful loan spell at the bet365 Stadium, so Everton, who considered Paulo Fonseca in addition to Moyes, do face competiti𝓀on for his signature.

Interestingly, Cannon’s a🐎gent is Kenny Moyes – the brother of David Moyes.

What Everton fans said about Tom Cannon during his days at Goodison Park

As aforesaid, Cannon used to play for Everton.

The man born in Aintree joined the Toffees way back in 2012 at the age of just ten, but onlꦉy ever made four senior appearances before he was sold to Leicester City.

Cannon did – however – make 42 appearances for the Everton U18 side, where he impr🐬essively scored 29 goals and provided nine assists.
