Everton now expected to sign ‘wonderful’ midfielder before transfer deadline

Everton fans may be expecting a quiet end to the summer transfer window but Sean Dyche may yet have a new loan signing up his sleeve.

The Toffees don’t have big money to work with this summer and Sean Dyche has been limited in his business as a result.

𒆙Dyche has now opened the Premier League season with two defeats, losing 3-0 and 4-0, leaving fans incredibly concerned.

Signings may now be needed after this poor start and reports suggest that Everton want Argentina ace Gonzalo Montiel.

ꦍEverton have been chasing another midfielder though and showed an interest in taking Jens Cajuste on loan from Napoli.

Cajuste has joined Ipswich Town though🌳 and Everton are now looking elsewhere for a new loan target.

Everton close in on new midfielder

🍸Everton could be taken over very soon as American business man John Textor explores a deal for the club.

꧃Textor has a period of exclusivity in his attempts to purchase Everton and a player from one of his other clubs could now move to Goodison Park.

🦄 report that Everton are now close to landing Lyon midfielder Orel Mangala.

🎶It’s stated that Everton have offered a loan deal for Mangala whilst paying his wages in full for the season.

꧑The report claims that Mangala has not convinced since joining Lyon and the French side are keen to move him on.

♔Mangala is now ‘expected’ to sign for Everton with Textor – the owner of Lyon – seemingly facilitating a move.

🐼Fabrizio Romano adds that Everton are in for Mangala having asked about a deal for Fiorentina’s Sofyan Amrabat.

💧The Morocco international spent last season on loan at Manchester United but Romano claims that a move to Everton is ‘difficult’.

Who is Orel Mangala?

𓂃Mangala hails from Belgium and started out in the ranks of Anderlecht, even spending time with Borussia Dortmund as a teenager.

⛦The midfielder really kicked on with VfB Stuttgart though, thriving in their first team after a strong loan spell with Hamburger SV.

💦Nottingham Forest pounced in 2022 and Mangala made 47 Premier League appearances for the club.

꧃Former Belgium and Everton boss having branded him a ‘wonderful’ talent.

🎶Forest were happy to move him on in January though and Lyon secured a loan move in January 2024, turning the move permanent this summer as Mangala featured for Belgium at Euro 2024 in Germany.

Lyon are already willing to let Mangala move though and after 🅘losing his international teammate Amadou Onana to Aston Villa, Everton could pounce for Mangala.
