Everton fans take to Twitter as Seamus Coleman picks up hamstring problem
Everton’s transf𒅌er window saw them fail to sign cover at right-back.
The Toffees, now led by Rafa B🎀enitez, have started the Premier⛄ League season unbeaten, winning two and drawing one of their first three games.
Yet as we approach match-day four of the season, Everton fans have been left extremely disappointed as Seamus Coleman has suffered an injury𝓰.
While away on international duty with the Republic of Ireland, the veteran Goodison Parkꦇ favourite has picked up a hamstring injury.
This was conf𝓡irmed by Everton on Twitter, with many fans flocking to the replies to bemoan their club’s failure to bring in another 𒆙right-back.

Thᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚ𒀱ᩚᩚᩚe chances are that one of Mason Holgate or Ben Godfrey will be the man forced to deputise in Coleman’s absence, yet having no specialist right-back in reserve is far from ideal.
Sadly, this is an issue that was predictably going to happenཧ at some point.
Coleman may have been a loyal servant for the Toffees, yet at the age of 32, and witꦓh a history of injury problems (), this was inevitable.
Last season saw the ageing right-back make 25 appearances in the Premier League, m𒅌issing 13 games with either one of Godfrey or Hol༒gate having to fill in at full-back.
At times last season the Toffees even found themselves fielding four natural centre-backs, with G😼odfrey at left-back and Holgate at right-back.
Yet somehow, those full🐟-back issues h💟aven’t been addressed.
The club has had all summer to make a move and bring a deput📖y full-back, yet failed to do so.
The fans could all see this defensive problem coming to bite them. They would ha🐼ve just hoped that they might have got through more than three games before having to worry about a lack of depth at full-back.
You can read the Everton fans’ thoughts here:
We needed proper cover ꦫfor him .. we are so thin squad wise it’s worrying .. just hope when the going gets tough and if we have a few injuries to key players and results don’t go our way the boo boys don’t start screaming for Rafas head

At least 5 years (Hibbert retirem🥂ent) we’ve need a right back for either adequate back up for Coleman and/or to replace him and we’ve failed… again. Not surprised, but eternally disappointed.

Better get on the blower to Aurier🐎 rapid. Might not have been who we wanted, but he is better than what we have curre🌌ntly. 1 year with option to extend if he impresses

Going to have to use Kenny, give the lad a ♓good run of games. Godfrey is needed at CB with Mina given how useless Keane has been

Club captain. Nearly 33. Injury🐻 prone nowadays. Retire from international duty in order to preserve employment. Pretty simple. I can see Godfrey covering, whi𝔍ch is a shame. Needs to be at CB.

bound to happen weren’t in, we literally all knew it. hence why we were screaming out to sign a right 𝄹back this window and have been for years.
— Kyle (@KyIeverton)
This was always going to happen, only ourselves to blame not signing ⛦a badly needed right back, in truth we’ve needed one f⛦or 3 years now
