English media reacts to Curtis Jones England debut as Liverpool star scores superb goal v Greece
Liverpool midfielder Curtis Jones has finally made his England debut as he started for Lee Carsley’s charges in their Nations League win over Greece.
After failing to get on the pitch when i𒆙nvolved in two previous Three Lions squads, the in-form Anfield ace was handed his bow at the first possible opportunit⛄y.
On Thursday night, Jones lined🅠 up in a double pivot alongside Atletico Madrid’s Conor Gallagher as the England caretaker boss went for a 4-2-3-1 formation.

Goal.com gave Jones an 8 out of 10 rating and wrote: “A d🥀ream international debut.
“Sat just in front of the defence, his measured passing giving England control for much of the game. Then added the icing on t♔he cake with an audacious finish.”
L꧒ikewise, gave Jones 8 out of 10 rating and wrote: “Looked comfortable on the ball, even when handed possession under pressure, and dovetailed decently enough with Conor Gallagher.
“The highlight was undoubtedly his clever flicked finis🥃h for the third goal on 83 minutes and it capped a very nice England deb﷽ut, where he didn’t look out of place at all.
“He’ll have plenty more chances to impre♒ss in the coming months an♋d years.”
Meanwhile, the wen♏t with a score of 7.5 out of 10 and wrote🉐: “Very encouraging debut.
