‘Electric’ £21m star now undergoing medical after agreeing deal to sign for Ipswich Town this month

TBR Football can exclusively confirm that Jaden Philogene is undergoing his medical in Suffolk after agreeing a move to Ipswich Town.

Making a mere four starts in all competitions this season, the 22-year-old’s return to his boyhood club Aston Villa this summer has underwhelmed to say the least.

Philogene’s move to Aston Villa was lauded as a brilliant piece of business as was one of the breakout stars in the Championship last season, registering 12 goals and six assists for Hull City🐓.

But after spending just six months under Unai Emery, Jaden Philogeneꦺ has the chance to revitalise his career under Kieran McKenna.

Ipswich Town-bound Jaden Philogene dubbed “electric”

In July 2023, Tim Howard hailed Philogene’s talent and advised Unai Emery to give him a chance.

“If [Unai] Emery wants my opinion, this kid is 𒀰ready. I mean he’s electric, he’s fun to watch, always on the front foot.

“And by the wꦇay, we’ve seen in the o🙈ther games, he’s very willing to do the dirty work and track back and get on the hip of his outside defender and that’s what you want from a young player.”

Ipswich Town supporters will be hoping that Kieran McKenna can get a tune out of the talented technician.
