Eddie Howe sent message by Newcastle chiefs after he asks Paul Mitchell for two January signings

In the summer, Newcastle United didn’t deliver the signings that many hoped after the appointment of Paul Mitchell – Lewis Hall’s permanent move from Chelsea was the club’s biggest expenditure.
Otherwise, the club only parted with transfer fees for William Osula and Odysseas Vlachodimos – two signings who have very little impact for Newcastle this season.
Vlachodimos arrived as part of the club’s PSR panic, a third choice goalkeeper who was never going to benefit Eddie Howe.
That being said, TBR Football understands that Howe may not be the beneficiary of any new 𒁏signings in Jaꦰnuary, either.

After a quiet summer, Newcastle have told Howe that he may have to get through the rest of the season withoꦺut any new additions.
PSR contꦉinues to be a concern for Newcastle’s top brass and that could hamper them from making any new additions in the 🤪New Year.

On his part, Howe has already presented the signings that he would like Mitchell to deliver in January – ones that may now be putꦬ on ice.
Howe has ideally asked for a new right-sided forward and a right-sidedඣ central defender, the same requests he presented in the summer.
Newcastle are doing work on potential options, but at beജst they may be reliant on sales before bringing anyone in.
In that regard, Miguel Al✱miron is the most likely to leave Newcastle, a wiܫnger who is incr🔯easingly on the periphery of things at St James’ Park.
What has Eddie Howe said about Newcastle’s lack of signings?
Howe recently spoke very candidly♋ about Newcastle’s situation in the January and th🎉en the summer.
One Real Madrid target is keen to join Newcastle, but it doesn’t seem as if that’ll be happening any time soon.
Asked about a new signing, Howe said: “I 🐎t𒁏hink there is a desire from everyone at the club to deliver that.
“But then you have to goꦗ to the realities of what is possible. You have to make decisions for the here and now, but also for the future.
“We have to make sure we don’t put꧟ ourselves in a positio🔥n where the summer becomes very, very difficult to do what we need to do, or future windows beyond.
“I think freshness is important in a squ🍬ad, I won’t sit here and deny that. There needs to be a cert🔥ain element of trading in and out to keep the group dynamic new.”
