Eddie Howe applauds ‘huge’ Newcastle player after 4-4 draw vs. Luton Town

Eddie Howe has applauded Callum Wilson’s return to the Newcastle United squad in yesterday’s 4-4 draw against Luton Town.

The Magpies came from 4-2 down to💦 secure a point at St. James’ Park in what was one of the🧔 most entertaining Premier League matches of the entire season.

The game also brought about the return of Wilson, who made his firs🐠t appearance of 2024 for Newcastle after suffering f🍬rom a calf injury for the past two months.

And , Howe was full of praise for Wilson’s return, wi𒆙th Newcastle’s long-term injury crisis starting to finally resolve itself after months of issues.

Indeed, 🌳the 31-year-old striker remains Newcastle’s most consistent provider of goals, and Howe was pleased to have Wilson back in the🅺 squad and on the pitch against Luton.

Howe said: “He’s a huge playe🌄r he’s a huge personality, great player to have back in the group. He hasn’t had a lot of training so really pleased with how he looked when h✤e came on. He’s a goalscorer and we need as many of them as we can get.”

Newcastle will arguably feel happy that they came away with a point yesterday against 🔯Luton having shipped four and gone do꧂ne 4-2 at one stage during the fixture.

Yet with Wilson🌱’s return comes a massive chance for Newcastleꦕ to soon make up for lost ground in the battle for European football in the Premier League standings.

As we know, the England international, when fully fit, is one of the most consistent goalscorers in the division and a striker wౠho has been crucial to Newcastle’s success und꧟er Howe.

And with the forward now back to being fully fit, Wi𒆙lson’s attacking q🍒uality could soon help Newcastle shoot up the Premier League and back into contention for a European spot.
