Don Hutchison wants Rangers manager or Gennaro Gattuso at Newcastle

Don H🌠utchison has taken to Twitter after identifying the two managers he would want to replace Rafa Benitez at Newcastle, and it seems as though h𝄹e wants a newly-bred gaffer in either Steven Gerrard or Gennaro Gattuso.

Benitez, 59, left the club on Monday after New♍castle posted a statement in which the two parties had failed to come to an agreement over an extension on his contract. Plenty of managers have since been linked.

The likes of Anthony Hudson, Jose Mourinho, Laurent Blanc and Mikael Arteta are all said to be in the running, but Hutchison wants Rangers boss Steven Gerrard or Gennaro Gattuso, who recen༒tly left AC Milan.

Gattuso, still only 41, has been in management for six years, while Gerrard enjoyed his first season in Glasgow by taking his side a step closer to stopping Celtic. Hutchison u🐎rged Newcastle to go for either.

TBR’s view – Gerrard or Gattuso?

Gattusཧo has hardly shown the kind of talent required as a manager so far, winning just 40 of his 83 matches in charge of AC Milan. A club like that should be expecting much bigger numbers.

Meanwhile, Gerrard could be a serious option. The former Liverpool and England captain has shown he can handle the pressure of managing a big club with an expectant fꦕanbase.

More than knowledgeable of the Premier League, Gerrard certainly has w🐻hat it takes to manage down south – showing tactical ᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚ⁤⁤⁤⁤ᩚ⁤⁤⁤⁤ᩚ⁤⁤⁤⁤ᩚ𒀱ᩚᩚᩚnous and transfer expertise up north. Landing the Rangers boss would be a big coup.
