Derby fans react as West Brom eye Tom Lawrence
A number of Derby County fans have taken to Twitter to comment on claiming that West Brom are interested in Tom Lawrence.
The Baggies are gearing up for their first campaign under Valerien Ismael. Obviously, the target is to secure promotion at the first attempt.

They have already signed one Championship skipper, with Alex Mowatt joining from Barnsley at the end of his contract.
And it appears that the Baggies may have their eye on another. According to the Daily Mail, they want Lawrence from the Rams.

Of course, it surprised many when Wayne Rooney recently decided to name the 27-year-old as Derby’s new captain. And it seems that he could actually leave before getting the chance to lead the side out in a competitive fixture.
that West Brom could make their move should they sell Sam Johnstone or Matheus Pereira.
The reports have been met by a mixed reaction amongst Derby fans on social media.
Some clearly want Lawrence to stay. He obviously has the potential to be an outstanding player when he is at his best.

However, he has been nowhere near consistent enough since arriving at Pride Park.
And thus, there are many who would be happy to see him leave. That arguably says a lot given the problems Rooney seems to be having putting a squad together.
With that in mind, here is how some of the fans have reacted to the reports…
Let him go….cash in now,he will leave for the highest bidder at the end of his contract.

He’s just been made captain and we hardly have any players let alone attacking outlets, can’t see us letting him go this summer.

Sell.
— Dan (@HeldenhammerDan)

— ben edwards (@BenedwardsBen)

A mere £10million and you can have him!
— Jake Barker (@JakeBarker1212)
The fact that we have about 9 senior players in total and yet I’d still probably let him go tells you all you need to know about Lawrence at
