Dejan Kulusevski is reportedly trying to convince Lucas Bergvall to join Tottenham Hotspur over Barcelona.

Spurs are attempting to hijack Barcelona’s move for the 17-year-old and have reportedly agreed an .

Indeed, Fabrizio Romano claimed just yesterday that Tottenham are throwing everything at signing Lucas Bergvall on deadline day.

And a fresh report from Sweden claims Dejan Kulusevski has even played a role in convincing his compatriot to join.

Kulusevski trying to convince Bergvall to join Tottenham

claims that Kulusevski attended meetings between Spurs and Bergvall in London earlier this week.

It’s noted that the 23-year-old has acted as an ‘ambassador’ for Spurs in their attempts to land Bergvall.

The youngster will now have to decide between Barca or Tottenham, with the outlet claiming his decision remains unclear at this stage.

At 17, Bergvall has already earned one cap for Sweden after making his debut earlier this month.

He will undoubtedly be familiar with Kulusevski, who has been a regular for his national side for many years now.

It remains to be seen whether or not Kulusevski’s attempts to persuade Bergvall will pay off.

You can see why a move to Spurs would be an attractive option for the ‘‘ youngster right now, with Ange Postecoglou building an exciting young squad.

His settling-in period in north London would also be eased by having Kulusevski around.
