David Ornstein names the striker Arsenal are more likely to sign than Alexander Isak

Arsenal didn’t sign anyone in the January transfer window, but it’s not all doom and gloom at the Emirates.

Indeed, Arsenal are coming off the back of perhaps their best Premier League result in a decade after a 5-1 win against Manchester City at the weekend, meanwhile, on the transfer front, Arsenal could make a big signing in the summer.

Speaking on The Athl🍸etic FC YouTube channel, David Ornstein has been discussing Arsenal’s summer tr♊ansfer plans.

Ornstein has previously said that Alexander Isak is a dream target for Arsenal, but, while Is🌺ak🌳 is a dream target, not all dreams come true.

Indeed, Ornstein says that 𒐪it will be very difficult to sign Isak this summer, but, the good news is, there’s another striker target who may be much more viable.

Benjamin Sesko more likely to join Arsenal than Alexander Isak

Ornst🍒ein shared what he knows about A💃rsenal’s search for a new striker.

The journalist had bad news to bring on the Alexander Isak front, claiming that a deal would be very difficult, but he says that Benjamin Sesko is a much more realistic potential signing.

Sesko has been linked to Arsenal as of late, and Ornstein thinks this one could happe🐼n.

“I think Newcastle don’t have any intention of selling him, the Saudi ownership have him at the heart of their plan♒s, and that makes someone like Benjamin Sesko who is far more realistic,” Ornste🍎in said.

“He’s not got as good a record so far as Isak, but he’s younger, he has huge potential and qualities. Arsenal have done a lot of work on him. They probably won’t be the only t✃eam in for him.”

Sesko compared to Isak at 21 years old

It looks like Arsenal could end up siꦅgning Sesko instead of Alexander Isak in the summer, and while Isak is the more accomplished striker at the moment, Sesko may be on track to become an elite player in his own right one day.

Indeed, whil♊e Isak’s record is better♒ than Sesko’s this season, comparing the two players at similar ages tells an interesting story.

Isak scored 17 league goals the year he turned 21, 🐭which is a fantastic return, and Sesko is on course to do something similar this season.

Of course♚, development in football isn’t linear – just because Isak kicked on to become a Premier League star doesn’t necessarily mean Sesko will, but history does show that footballers are likely to continue to grow and improve at the age of 21.

Sesko has youth and time on his side, and who knows? Perhaps in a few years’ time he⛦ will be viewed as a better striker than Isak if he develops as a pla𝓡yer can at his age.
