David Friel predicts who’s going to win the league this season – Celtic or Rangers
The title race looks like it will go down to the wire this season. Celtic blew a ten-point lead before Christmas and have allowed Rangers a way back into the race.
And whilst that is welcomed by the media and pundits in Scotland, the Celtic fans are furious that such a commanding lead was given up so easily by Brendan Rodgers‘ side.
However, for all the faltering performances, Celtic still sit on top of the league and yesterday’s win over St Mirreꦆn in the Scottish Cup does look lik💝e the team may have turned a corner.
But whilst Rangers still sit on the coattails there is uncertainty over whether or not Celtic can defend the title and get access to the £60m Champions League bounty that awaits the future Scottish champions.
Speaking on Superscoreboard though, pundit and journalist, D🐻avid Friel has predicted who he thinks will go on and win the title this season and he believes that one summer signing made by Rodgers could be the difference.
Friel said [], “There is no doubt Celtic are off it. For me, they still have ♊more quality at the top end.
“I also think Rangers’ heavier schedule, bearing in mind they have European football and the fact that Sima is out in♚jured, Danilo is out injured, I think that might just give Celt𒅌ic the edge.
“I think Celtic have more firepower up front and Adam Idah coming in could make the difference as well.”
Can Adam Idah fire Celtic to the title?
For all the humming and hawing over the deal to bring Idah to the club, it cannꦇot be denied that the on-loan Norwich striker has made an immediate impact at the club.

Two goals in three appearances don’t tell the whole story of Idah’s start to his Celtic career. Taking two penalties against Hibs showed that the 22-year-old ha🤪s bottle and his performances against Aberdeen and St Mirren prove that he offers Rodgers a refreshingly different option up front.
Idah’s linkup play with Kyogo paid dividends in Celtic’s opening goal against the St Mirren and the Hoops fans will be hoping t♋hat this is an option that Rodgers will use more as the league title race goes into it’s final stretch.
