Danny Murphy hails Tottenham target Liam Delap as next Harry Kane

Tottenham are interested in Ipswich Town s✤triker Liam Delap with an eye on potentially making a move in the Januarꦓy window.

Speaking on on Sunday, former Tottenham midfielder Danny Murphy h🅰as admitted he is loving what he is seeing f🥂rom Delap this season.

“I’d probably ﷺgo as far to say that for me he’s the obvious long-term successor to Harry Ka♍ne,” he said.

“I think he’s the best young English striker out there. I✨ know he’s got a bit to learn and wisdom comes with experience and game time in this league but he’s got all the attributes to be a top international player.

“I just don’t see a weak༺ness for him. He’s scored enough goals in a struggling side.

“He gets a lot of chances he’ll score more. He’s just got that l𒈔ovely balance between physical and technical, rarely you get both. He’s a super talent.”

Tottenham could not offer Delap regular starts

The 21-year-old has🅰 been seriously impressive in the early stages of the 2024/25 campaign following his move from Manchester Citꦑy.

It is even believed City are considering bringing Delap back to the Etihaꦰd after what they have seen 🎉during his short time at Portman Road.

But Delap has now been handed 11 starts in the Premier League and Ipswich are providin🥂g him with the minutes needed to co𒁏ntinue his development.

Given Solanke has impressed since 📖signing for such a big fee, Delap would simply not be handed the game time that he would like and require at this stage of his career.
