Dan Ndoye signs Nottingham Forest contract as Reds’ next transfer intentions revealed
TBR Football understands that Nottingham Forest have got a move for Bologna’s Dan Ndoye over the line.
The Reds have been in pursuit of reinforcements on the wing after Anthony Elanga and Ramon Sosa both left the City Ground earlier this summer.
Forest had competition for Ndoye from the likes of Napoli, but the Reds have now won the race for the Switzerland international.
TBR Football can also confirm what Forest plan to do next in the transfer market as the club hierarchy plans to compete on multiple fronts next term.

Nottingham Forest delighted with ‘huge’ Dan Ndoye signing as two more wingers in Reds’ sights
TBR Football chief correspondent Graeme Bailey understands that Ndoye has just put pen to paper for Nottingham Forest on a five-year deal.
Forest agreed terms with Bologna on Monday in a deal worth €45million (£39million), beating Napoli to agreeing terms.
Napoli made a late push to beat Forest to the deal on Monday, but Bologna rebuffed their offers.
Ndoye arrived in England on Tuesday and Forest have wasted little time in getting their man, though they’re not done yet in terms of signing wingers.
“Getting Ndoye is a huge capture for Forest,” Bailey exclusively told TBR Football. “Napoli pushed really hard to get him.
“Whilst not a direct replacement for Anthony Elanga, he has similar qualities.
“Forest are looking to bring in another two wingers after this but Ndoye was their first-choice target – they are delighted to get this one over the line.”
The Reds are also in the process of moving Jota Silva on and are locked in talks with Sporting CP over the Portuguese winger.
Sporting want a loan with option worth £10million and, while Forest are happy to accept an initial loan deal, they want an obligation to buy.
What Dan Ndoye could bring to Nottingham Forest
Ndoye has developed into a brilliant player at Bologna after joining the Italians from FC Basel in 2023, making 75 appearances and registering 11 goals and eight assists.
The 24-year-old’s efforts helped Bologna finish in Serie A’s top five in 2023/24, which got them into the Champions League, along with winning the Coppa Italia last season.
Ndoye also impressed for Switzerland at Euro 2024, helping his nation record a famous knockout victory over Italy en route to the quarter-finals.
recently wrote: ‘Ndoye stands out for his ability to progress the ball with driving runs on either side of the pitch and through the middle – only five Serie A players had a higher average carry distance of 8.2 yards last season.
‘Ndoye has played more frequently on the left side for Bologna but has regularly also operated down the right.
‘He is capable of both, which would mirror the dynamic which often saw Elanga and Callum Hudson-Odoi swap flanks with Forest.
‘At just over 6ft, he is quite tall for a winger and is pretty direct when he gets going – only four Serie A players took more shots from fast breaks during 2024-25.
‘His ability to move the ball quickly on the counter-attack would obviously be important when looking to replace Elanga.’
