Sunderland have co🐠nfirmed that Black Cats ace Lynden Gooch is expected to be out for up🧔 to a month due to an ankle injury.
On Wednesday, the clu🎃b’s medical team decided to send the 24-year-old to a specialist for an assessment.
Gooch, who has༺ struggled with the ankle issue for a couple of weeks, was told that he’d need a period of rest.

The United States international will have an injection on Friday and is expected to miss between 🤪two🍷 and four weeks, potentially ruling him out of up to eight league and cup games.
“Goochy went to see a specialist, and he feels he needs a period of rest with his ankle injury,” Sunderland boss Phil Parkinson is q🅠uoted by the as sayin🧸g.
“Hไe’s going to have an injection (tomorrow), which we hope will speed that recovery up.
“But we’re probably looking at tꦑwo to 𒐪four weeks where we’ll be without Lynden, which is a blow because he’s been exceptional for us this season.
“We’ve got to take the ♓advice of the specialist, and we want to make sure Lynden is right and f🔥lying when he comes back.”
Gooch is unavailable foꦉr tomorrow’s League One trip to Fleetwood and potentially won’t be back until the meeting with Hull City on Boxing Day.
The news is a big blow for the Black Cats, given the player’s im🐬portance to the team – he has featured in this season, starting 10 of those.
Some supporters took to social media to comment on the situation:
