Coventry fans impressed by performance of Wolves loanee Ryan Giles

Wolverhampton Wanderers loanee Ryan Giles impressed on Wednesday night with his performance in the Championship – and some Coventry City fans on Twitter were in awe of his individual performance.

Giles is a left-sided flyer that joined Coventry on a season-long loan in the summer, after also spending the second half of the previous campaign with the Sky Blues during their promotion from League One.

The 20-year-old played the full game on Wednesday as Coventry secured a crucial 1-0 home win over Cardiff City, which is a result that lifts them three points clear of the relegation zone in the Championship table.

Giles is a player that has mainly been used in a wing-back position at Coventry and it’s a system that Wolves have mastered so well under their manager Nuno Espirito Santo, meaning it’s important that any players aspiring to break into the senior side can fill a role in it.

But the English youngster was used further forward in a more advanced winger role and he’s received plenty of praise on social media for his midweek display.

He’s become a nailed-on starter in the Coventry XI this campaign and is earning vital first-team minutes in the Championship to help his development.
