Could Crystal Palace youngster Sam Woods make his Premier League debut this season?

With Crystal Palace currently suf🦄fering a shortage of first-team centre-backs, Roy Hodgson may be tempted to hand Premier League debuts to some youth 🌞team prospects.

One such player is 20-year-old centre-half Sam Woods,🉐 who recently has made the first-team squad for crucial matches.

Woods made his debut in the fall, when he played 11♛ minutes during the Eagles’ Carabao Cup loss against Middlesbrough.

Woods hasn’t played a🍎 senior minute since, but has caught the eye of Hodgson and was recently named to the bench in Palace’s FA Cup quarterfinal defeat to Watford.

As Mamadou Sakho faces the season ou꧋t with injury, Woods may be handed a Premier League de🧜but if Palace can achieve safety this spring.

In a recent interview with , the highly-rated youngster played down his chances of a debut but expressed his desire to keep workin🗹g.

“That’s not my decision, so I♑ can’t say If I can play or not,” Woods told football.london. “I think to try my best everyday in training, in games and just see what happens. If I can keep getting on the bench for the first-team that’s good and maybe come on.”

If Woods continues his diligent training, Roy Hodgson will surely grant the Palace youngst🌱er a Premier League debut in the coming months.
