Club suddenly getting worried they’ll lose 21-goal striker after claims Arsenal want him
Arsenal look set to search for alternatives after missing out on RB Leipzig striker Benjamin Sesko.
The Slovenian star put pen to paper with the Bundesliga outfit on Wednesday after Arsenal previously believed they had a real chance of landing Sesko.
Mikel Arteta was widely expected to target a new striker this summer but reports have since claimed it isn’t the be-all and end-all for him and sporting director Edu Gaspar.
There are plenty of options on the market at the moment but Newcastle’s Alexander Isak and Sporting CP’s Viktor Gyokeres could prove too expensive.
A move for Ivan Toney is also unlikely at this stage and it could force the Gunners to look elsewhere, particularly if Arteta does decide on bringing in a new No9.
According to journalist Dean Jones, one Premier League side are quickly losing confidence over their striker’s future and interestingly, he has been linked with a switch to the Emirates Stadium.

Bournemouth losing confidence over Arsenal target Dominic Solanke
Arsenal have been heavily linked with moves for a host of options up front and over the weekend, it was claimed that Dominic Solanke could come into Arteta’s thinking.
Indeed, Arsenal are reportedly considering Solanke as a Sesko alternative and seeing as they have missed out on the RB Leipzig striker, Jones’ update is intriguing.
The journalist claims Bournemouth were previously confident about Solanke staying at the Vitality Stadium beyond the summer. But over the past few days, their confidence has ‘begun to wane’.

Solanke’s 2023/24 Bournemouth stats
Solanke enjoyed his best Premier League season to date with the Cherries last term, netting 19 times in 38 appearances.
The Englishman also notched two times in four cup appearances and has received admiring glances from Tottenham.
Whether or not this would be the type of statement signing Arsenal are looking for is up for debate.
Solanke has undoubtedly displayed plenty of promise over the past year but he’s yet to prove he can hit these numbers every season in England’s top flight.
