Monaco sign replacement for Vanderson amid talk of a Tottenham bid
According to a report from , Monaco have made a move to sign PSV defender Jordan Teze.
Teze is expected to be the replacement for Vanderson and once again Tottenham are mentioned in the report.
It comes amid reports at the weekend that suggested Tottenham were ready to make a bid for Vanderson.
Tottenham have sold Emerson Royal this summer to AC Milan and that means there is a spot at right-back up for grabs behind Pedro Porro.
However, Ange Postecoglou has been impressed by Djed Spence and the former Leeds loanee is expected to be part of proceedings for now.
Tottenham don’t need Vanderson
While Vanderson might be a quality operator in his own right, it does beg the question as to if Spurs even need him.
At the moment, Pedro Porro is the main man in that position and there’s also Spence, who will feel he deserves a chance if Porro ever misses out.
For the money – around – he’d cost and the need Tottenham have right now, the signing of another right-back does seem to be a bit of a waste.
Of course, Postecoglou knows what he’s doing and what he wants. But it just feels like other positions might be a bit more of a priority.
