Club now set to hold meeting with Tottenham about terminating 26-year-old’s loan in January

Galatasaray are reportedly set to hold a meeting with Tottenham Hotspur about terminating Tanguy Ndombele’s loan deal.

That’s according to a fresh report, which notes the Turkish giants are looking to sign a new midfielder in January.

Tanguy Ndombele failed to impress under Ange Postecoglou in pre-season and headed out on loan to the Super Liga.

The 26-year-old has failed to establish himself as a regular at Spurs under several different managers now. Many Tottenham fans would be forgiven for hoping he performed well in Turkey with a view to securing a permanent move away from the club.

But it’s been quite the opposite experience for the Frenchman so far as he’s struggled to nail down a place in Galatasaray’s side.

Indeed, reports have already suggested that a termination of his loan was being considered due to ‘unprofessional behaviour’.

Now, it seems the Turkish giants are ready to meet with Tottenham to discuss ending Ndombele’s spell in Galatasaray ahead of schedule.

Turkish outlet reports that Galatasaray are planning to end Ndombele’s loan deal.

It’s noted that negotiations between Spurs and the Super Liga outfit are expected to be held soon.

Indeed, Ndombele has apparently failed to make the most of the opportunities handed to him by Okan Buruk this term.

Ndombele has made just 10 appearances in all competitions this season, racking up a total of 280 minutes.

The French midfielder also struggled to make an impact at Napoli on loan last season, despite Luciano Spalletti’s side winning the Serie A title.

There’s no doubt that Ndombele boasts the required talent to thrive in the Premier League, or elsewhere for that matter.

But after several failed loan spells and nearly moments at Spurs, it may be the right time for Tottenham to cut their losses on their club-record signing.
