Club now decide that they want to sell £67m Arsenal striker target this summer

Arsenal are undoubtedly in the market to sign a new striker this summer to boost Mikel Arteta’s chances of landing serious silverware next season.

Arsenal still have a realistic opportunity of winning the Champions League over the next month or so, but the Premier League crown will soon belong to Arne Slot’s Liverpool.

Arteta is very content with having Kai Havertz at his disposal in north London but the Spaniard would like to add more goals — explaining why Arsenal are interested in Viktor Gyokeres.

However, Gyokeres isn’t Arsenal’s only target, and some reports even suggest that Andrea Berta could target two new strikers in the summer.

Berta wants a ‘win now’ number nine and there’s also the possibility of adding a rotational option too.

Juventus want to ‘get rid’ of Dusan Vlahovic

That being said, Arsenal are still interested in Dusan Vlahovic from Juventus who fits Berta’s criteria of a striker who would be able to contribute immediately.

Vlahovic has endured a frustrating season at Juventus but has still netted 14 goals in all competitions.

The Italian side recruited Randal Kolo Muani from Paris Saint-Germain in January who has affected Vlahovic’s minutes, a striker who is making very little progress in contract talks with the club.

That being said, are now reporting that Juventus are ready to sell Vlahovic this summer, even if they plan to start him regularly before the end of the season.

Juventus paid for the Serbia international in 2022, and whilst they won’t be able to recoup that fee, they do have a plan to increase the striker’s price tag.

According to the report, Juventus will drop Kolo Muani in order for Vlahovic to start in Juventus’ remaining games purely to inflate his price tag before a departure in the summer.

Andrea Berta should avoid Dusan Vlahovic

Of course, it remains to be seen if Arsenal will make a move for the striker, but TBR Football have previously reported that Vlahovic could be available for £25m this summer.

Therefore, with Newcastle United’s Alexander Isak bound to cost a fortune and strikers like Gyokeres and Hugo Ekitike also very expensive, Vlahovic could be a credible option.

However, some supporters in N17 might be a tad underwhelmed if Arsenal only spent a small sum on a striker this summer — a move the club have been reluctant to rush.

And in truth, if Arsenal were convinced that Vlahovic was the striker to lead them forwards, a move could have been agreed in January.

A difficult one for Berta to get right in his first few months at the club, but Arteta will surely have a big input himself.
