Chris Sutton baffled by what he’s been hearing about Arsenal forward Kai Havertz lately

Arsenal are currently in a difficult situation after finding themselves without Kai Havertz for the rest of the season.

Arsenal have confirmed that Havertz suffered a hamstring injurꦑy atꦯ the team’s warm-weather training camp in Dubai.

Havertz will be und♛ergoing surgery over the coming days and is not expected to be back in action until the start of the new season.

With the transfer window now shut, the Gunners only have three options available to the🐠m.

Arsenal could solely r♓ely on their curren💖t first-team squad, promote from the Hale End academy, or look at the free agent market for Havertz cover.

Arsenal fans have been bemoaning the Havertz news on social media, but Chris Sutton is somewhat baffle♉d by what he’s been hearing from them.

Chris Sutton claims Arsenal fans ‘panned’ Kai Havertz before his injury

Sutton has claimed that Arsenal fans have changed their tune about 𝐆Havertz, alleging the striker was routinely being “panned by them for his inconsistent finishing”.

The pundit also claimed that, should the Gunners not win the league, Arsenal fans will have “an excus⛎e” and “there will be a pile-on” over Mikel Arteta not signing another striker.

Sutton said reports of Arsenal bidding for Aston Villa’s Ollie Watkins in January suggested that the Gunners did indeed try to bring a new𓂃 striker in.

“It seems Kai ༒Havertz has turned into Pele in the eyes of Arsenal fans since he has been sidelined by a hamstring injury,” Sutton wrote on .

“All of a sudden Havertz is a world-beater, that they cannot cope without, when in reality he has been panned by them for his inconsistent♕ finishing since he joined.

“But, with Gabriel Jesus already out injure🔴d for the season, Havertz’s absence will give Arsenal fans an excuse if they end up not winning anything this campaign, and there will be a pile-on to ask why they did not sign another striker.

“The fact Gu🧸nners boss Mikel Arteta tried to get Ollie Watkins from Aston Villa in🥃 January tells you that he wanted someone in.

“Now, if they don’t win the league, there🌺 will be this blame game. Is it Arteta’s fault, or is it on the board for not backing him?”

Chris Sutton predicts who’ll lead Arsenal line at Leicester as result prediction made

Sutton followed up his criticism of Arsenal fans by saying he still tips the tea♐m to get the better of Leicester City in Saturday’s early Premier League kick-off.

🌞The pundit backed Mikel Arteta’s charges to run out 2-ꦐ0 winners at the King Power Stadium and predicted Leandro Trossard to lead the line.

“Still, even with Havertz out, and Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Martinelli both injured too, I think Arsenal will have enough to beat Lei❀cester,” wrote Sutton.

ღ“Leandro Trossard will probably lead their attack, ꧃although Raheem Sterling can also play up there.

“Leicester are out of t🍸he FA🙈 Cup and were walloped by Everton in their last Premier League game. This is not going to be anything like as close as their last meeting, in September.”
