Chelsea readying bid to sign ‘quality’ player who’s on Arsenal’s radar this summer

Arsenal and Chelsea could once again lock horns over the signing of a talented winger this summer.

Mikel Arteta is no stranger to facing competition from Arsenal’s London rivals in the transfer market.

Chelsea were previously in for Riccardo Calafiori but the Gunners look set to win that race, with Enzo Maresca’s men set to wrap up the signing of Renato Veiga from FC Basel instead.

Of course, Chelsea and Arsenal also went head to head for the signing of Mykhaylo Mudryk back in January last year.

Now, the Blues are reportedly readying a bid to sign a talented winger who is on Arsenal’s radar this summer.

Chelsea planning bid to sign Arsenal target

has shared the latest on Chelsea’s plans for the summer transfer window and they could be set to battle Arsenal for yet another signing.

Indeed, the outlet claims that the Blues are planning to launch a bid for Borussia Dortmund winger Karim Adeyemi.

It’s noted that Adeyemi is attracting interest from a host of Premier League sides, including Arsenal, Manchester United and Liverpool.

Adeyemi signing would tick plenty of boxes for Arsenal

It’s no secret that Arsenal are lacking real depth in the wide areas and they are expected to address that issue this summer.

Adeyemi is a winger who can operate off either flank while he’s also capable of playing through the middle.

The 22-year-old racked up seven goal involvements for Dortmund last season and would provide adequate competition for the likes of Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Martinelli

Lauded as a ‘’ player by former Dortmund boss Edin Terzic, Adeyemi played a key role in the Bundesliga outfit’s surprise run to the Champions League final last season.

But if Arsenal do decide to firm up their interest in the German winger, they may need to act fast with Chelsea planning to launch a bid.
