Predicted Chelsea XI to play Juventus: Three changes, Christian Pulisic starts

Chelsea play Juventus this evening knowing that their place in the knockout stages of the Champions League is all but secure.

A point will make it completely safe but it would take a minor miracle for the Blues not to reach the last 16 now.

Thomas Tuchel’s men flexed their credentials in last the weekend win over Leicester, running out 3-0 winners.

Ahead of tonight’s game, we looked at how Chelsea might line up against the Italian giants.

Chelsea predicted XI v Juventus:

Tuchel prides himself on a solid defence and he’ll hope they can stand firm at Stamford Bridge tonight.

Edouard Mendy will start in goal as the established number one goalkeeper.

Tiago Silva will take up the central position in the back three, with Andreas Christensen and Antonio Rudiger flanking him.

Reece James and Ben Chilwell will both play on the right and left respectively.

Both players have been in fine form and will look to continue that this evening.

N’Golo Kane scored at the weekend and he will partner Jorginho in the engine room.

Strikers are in short supply at Chelsea right now.

With that in mind, Christian Pulisic could start through the middle spearheading the Blues’ attack.

The player put the seal on the 3-0 win over Leicester at the weekend.

Behind him, it seems almost certain that Mason Mount will play and Timo Werner could also come into the attack as a number 10.
