Chelsea looking at signing ‘outstanding’ Leeds United player ahead of potentially facing him tonight

Chelsea are now keen on Leeds United’s Crysencio Summerville.

The Blues have spent massively under Todd Boehly but still don’t really seem to be getting anywhere.

Sunday’s defeat to Liverpool in the Carabao Cup final has sparked a major inquest with boss Mauricio Pochettino under pressure.

Results just haven’t been coming under Pochettino and failing to beat a depleted Liverpool side on Sunday was a major blow.

Chelsea still seem committed to the idea of signing young players with room to develop in the future – and their latest target proves that.

Chelsea want Crysencio Summerville

now claim that Chelsea are taking a keen interest in signing Leeds United winger Crysencio Summerville.

Chelsea haven’t yet seen returns from Noni Madueke and Mykhailo Mudryk, two wingers brought in during the January 2023 window.

The Blues could now go for another wide man with reports suggesting that Summerville is admired inside Stamford Bridge.

It’s noted that Chelsea believe that they can sign Summerville for a decent price and won’t have to break the bank to get him.

Other Premier League sides are keen though and may compete with Chelsea for Summerville’s signature.

What’s interesting is that Chelsea’s interest is being reported just hours ahead of the Blues facing Summerville and Leeds in the FA Cup.

Leeds travel to take on Chelsea in West London and Summerville may play a part for the Whites as they look to compound the misery on Pochettino, but he has been nursing an injury and could be left out.

This could give Chelsea an ideal chance to watch Summerville up close and personal against Pochettino’s side ahead of a potential summer bid.

The 22-year-old has been sensational this season, racking up 15 goals and eight assists in 31 Championship appearances.

A former Feyenoord talent, Summerville is now fulfilling his potential at Leeds and it’s no surprise that Premier League sides are now interested.

and the Whites may face a battle to keep hold of him even if they secure promotion back to the Premier League.
