Chelsea fans urge club to ‘break the bank’ to sign Everton player who was ‘top-notch’ in Saturday’s Stamford Bridge clash
Chelsea have given their Champions league qualification hopes a big boost thanks to Saturday’s 1-0 win over Everton at Stamford Bridge.
Both sets of Blues locked horns in Saturday’s early Premier League kick-off and the hosts won it thanks to Nicolas Jackson’s first goal since December.
The Chelsea forward fired home from 20 yards – his first Premier League goal from outside the box – to make sure of all three points for the hosts.
With the summer transfer window now on the horizon, Chelsea are likely to be busy in the market, and some fans urged their club to make a move for one of Everton’s key players.

Chelsea fans urge their club to sign Everton defender Jarrad Branthwaite
Chelsea fans loved what they saw from Everton defender Jarrad Branthwaite and called on their club to make a move for him in the summer.
One fan wrote on X: “What’s the price tag for Branthwaite? I think he should be one of the centre-backs Chelsea take seriously.
“He has the quality we are looking for, plus some Premier League experience. His physical characteristics and aerial ability are also top-notch. He did well today.”
Another supporter said: “Break the bank for Branthwaite – this is a VVD signing.”
The praise for Branthwaite kept coming, with one fan saying: “He has impressed every time I’ve watched him, he is type of defender we need.
“Although he is young he has great defensive instincts and is aggressive, in the JT mould. Him and Huijsen would be a really interesting duo.”
Another fan said: “Jarrad Branthwaite giving off a similar level performance that Fofana did against us a few years ago.
“Brilliant CB, would love for us to get both him & Huijsen but that’s a 1/100 chance we do – what a player.”
Another supporter wrote: “Branthwaite. Osimhen. Leao. Just those 3 and I’d be happy.”
Chelsea fans also commented on Cole Palmer’s worrying form as he once again struggled.
How much Jarrad Branthwaite could cost Chelsea
Branthwaite has long been a regular in the rumour mill, with many of the top Premier League clubs – including Chelsea – having looked at him.
TBR Football confirmed late last year that Chelsea, Manchester United, Manchester City and Arsenal were all keen on Branthwaite.
Pundits also love him – for instance, Jamie Carragher has previously hailed Branthwaite, calling the Everton powerhouse a “really special” talent.
Furthermore, Ian Wright described Branthwaite as a “monster” at the back for Everton.

In terms of price tag, TBR Football previously reported that Everton value Branthwaite at around £80million.
Everton’s hand in negotiations would be quite strong, as Branthwaite is contracted to the club until 2027 with a year’s option, which would tie him to the club until 2028.
In addition, with Everton moving to Bramley-Moore Dock next summer as a Premier League club, it’s an exciting new era for the Toffees, so players may well want to stick around for the time being.
