Chelsea fans send clear Liam Delap message after loss to Ipswich

Chelsea ended 2024 on a losing note as they fell to a 2-0 Premier League defeat away at Ipswich Town on Monday night.

🎐The Blues have had a solid season for the most part so far, but they have picked up just one point from their last three Premier League games of the year.

Liam Delap opened the scoring for Ipswich against Chelseaꦉ with a 12th-minute penalty before setting up Omari Hutchinson for the second on 53 minutes.

😼The Ipswich ace delivered a wonderful performance as he ran Chelsea ragged, and Blues fans had a lot to say about him during and after the match.

Chelsea fans want to sign Liam Delap from Ipswich

ꦗChelsea fans took to X to praise Delap’s performance and talk about how they’d love the club to sign him.

🐬One fan wrote: “What a performance from Liam Delap! His never-give-up attitude is outstanding. Chelsea must sign him.”

🌄Another said: “The only positive, clear thing to come from that game is that Chelsea has to sign Liam Delap. Done, dusted, sign him.”

ꦇThe praise kept coming, with one fan saying: “Liam Delap was incredible yesterday, constantly pressing, being physical and causing all sorts of problems.

ꦏ“He’s a ST I’d be interested in to compete with Jackson.”

ꦅAnother wrote: “I wouldn’t mind us signing Delap at all. He has unbelievable potential.

ꦉ“We haven’t really seen him against many low blocks to judge tbh – hardly anyone plays a low block vs Ipswich.”

💝Other fans spoke of how Delap’s “audition” went well, with one saying: “Congrats Delap on passing the audition. We’re signing you.”
