Chelsea and Newcastle want to sign ‘absolutely outstanding’ Liverpool player this summer
TBR Football can exclusively reveal that Chelsea are one of five clubs interested in signing Liverpool goalkeeper Caoimhin Kelleher in the summer.
The Blues have had their troubles with Robert Sanchez this season. The Spaniard has made five errors leading to goals in the Premier League so far – the joint-worst record in the division.
It is clear that Chelsea need an upgrade in goal in the next transfer window, and the Blues could take advantage of the situation at Liverpool🐎 with K꧙elleher.
But, th𝔉ey aren’t the only side interested in his services.
Chelsea among five clubs interested in signing Caoimhin Kelleher
TBR Football’s chief correspondent Graeme Bailey can confirm that a host of Liverpool’s Premier League rivals are keeping close tabs on Kelleher ahead of a 🌳po✤tential summer move.
Kelleher is widely expected to leave Anfield at the end of this season with Arne Slot’s side ready to ꦅsa🎐nction a sale.
The 26-year-old Irishman is considered one of the best number two goalkeepers in world football, but he knows he won’t get the chance to become the main man at Liverpool.
The Reds have already signed Georgian goalkeeper Giorgi Mamardashvili – whose loan at Valencia is due to come to an end this summer and is✃ the likely successor for Alisson, who is currently the number one.
Kelleher’s situation has alerted several clubs in the Premier L🌳eague.
Top-four chasing Nottingham Forest were among those looking last summer, but their advances were rebuffed by Liv🦂erpool. But, Nuno Espirito Santo’s side still have an active interest, although they have been happy with the performance of incumbent Matz Sels.
TBR can also confirm that now there is interest from Chelsea, Bournemouth and Newcastle –💖 all of whom could be in the market for a new number-one this summer.
Scottish champions Celtic have a long-stand๊ing interest in Kelleher, bu🅰t he now looks some way off their advances.

Kelleher has already made one thing clear about his Liverpool’s future
Kelleher has been ready to become a number one elsewhere for a couple of years now, but Liverpool have managed to hold on to him🀅.
However, with Mamardashvili set to arrive in t🐽he summer, the Irishman’s best option would be to find a new club fဣor himself.
With that in mind, Kelle൲her, who has been hailed as ‘absolutely outstanding’ by Virgil van Dijk, has made it clear that he is 🌠not looking to hang around.
“I’m good enough, and I want to go out and prove it,”⛎ the 26-year-old said whilst on international duty with the Republic of Ireland in September.
“I’ve made it clear in the last few years that I want to go and be a No. 1 and play week in, week out. The club’s made thaꦡt decision to get another goalkeeper, and from the outside looking in, it looks like they’ve made a decision to go in a different direction.”
