‘Changed his game’… Pat Bonner claims 24-year-old Celtic player looked very different vs St. Mirren at the weekend
Former Celtic hero, Pat Bonner shared how Luis Palma looked a different player against St Mirren yesterday afternoon.
After a blistering start to his Celtic career, the Honduran international winger has been seriously criticised for his performances recently.
Accusations that Kyogo Furuhashi is starting to look increasingly frustrated with Palmaᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚ𒀱ᩚᩚᩚ could possibly have led to the 24-year-old being urged to change his game.
And Bonner reckons that is what he witnessed against St Mirren in ♒Paisley yesterday.
Bonner said [], “I thoug♋ht the difference today was Palma and I did talk about him in the last couple of weeks.
“Today it looked as if they’ve studied💫 what he’s been doing in games and you’ve got to give credit to the player too that he almost changed♊ his game a little bit.
“He got to the byline, he got on that left foot and put some dangerous crosses 𒁏in. He put the cross into 🐼the backpost for O’Riley who hit the crossbar and it came back to Maeda.
“H🧔e was a critical player for Celtic today anಌd he stepped up to the player.”
P🎐alma was given the unenviable task of replacing Jota this season after the Portuguese fan favourite left Celtic Park last summer for £25m.
And whilst it is widely accepted that Palma is not on the same level as Jota, the Celtic winger has equipped himself well both domestically and in the Champions League.

With eight goals and ten as💝sists, Palma has proven to be an integral part of the team under Rodgers. However, it should be noted that the last time the Honduran found the net in the le🏅ague was back in December in the 4-1 win over Hibs at Celtic Park.
And his last assist in the Scottish Premiership was in the Boxing Day win o𒅌ver Dun𒁃dee.
Clearly, Palma still has work to do to get back to the level he was at at the beginning of the season and the Celtic fans will be hoping that yesterday’s win over St Mirren will be th💫e catalyst for the 24-year-old to go on and have a great end to the season.
